Rise Troops Challenge – Oracle, AZ
To honor those who serve, RISE Troops Challenge – Arizona features obstacles and challenges based on actual military tactical skills and training challenges across the branches.
Embrace your grit, strength and warrior spirit with challenges that including sandbags, running, crawling, climbing, and ammo can hauls. Calm yourself and overcome fatigue to hit the airsoft target. And test yourself with the fitness test (there will be pull ups!). All this in the breath taking mountain setting of the 3C Ranch in beautiful Oracle, AZ.
What is the RISE Troop Challenge Like and Can I do It?
YES! You have it in you! All events are designed and created for any physical ability. They are attainable to the newby and challenging for the fittest. We will also have training available to prepare you for success.
Past events have had veterans and active duty out in force as well as those new to obstacle racing. Friendships are formed and the comraderie is contagious. Finishers often head back out on the course to encourage others. It is much bigger than just a race, fitness challenge, or competition. It is about facing challenges, rising above them, and setting new goals. All while honoring those who serve and sacrifice so much and bonding with a like minded community. And of course having fun, the pride of accomplishment, and creating memories along the way!
Short Course: “TROOPS SELECTION”
This is the basic challenge course: approximately 2 miles filled with military inspired obstacles and challenges. It will challenge all aspects of strength and fitness.
Long Course: “TROOPS EXTENDED”
After completing the short course those who have chosen the long course will move on to an advanced endurance phase: approximately 6 miles of rugged trail running with a few Ranger inspired “surprises” on the way.
We will also feature an open mat Brazillian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) sponsored by the We Defy Foundation, a 501C3 organization which reaches out to veterans with PTSD through martial arts competition and training. Entry fee will be voluntary donation with $20 suggested (but don’t let cost stop you!)
