Join us at our 4th Annual Art and Nature 5K Trail Race! The course begins in deCordova’s Sculpture Park and continues through Lincoln’s conservation trails alongside Flint’s Pond for a challenging run. Please note that this is a trail run, with lots of rocks, roots, dips, turns, and some uphill terrain. You are welcome to run or walk the race. All participants get a deCordova 5K t-shirt, and a day’s worth of bragging rights.
NEW this year: Children 9 and under can participate in a free 50-yard dash at 10:15 am (space is limited; registration required). All 50-yard dash participants will receive an award.
Pre-registration for the 5K is required. Register by April 30 for a $5 early bird discount!
All proceeds directly support the Park and Museum. Show us what you’re made of, and support contemporary art and sculpture!
Check-in and bib pick-up begins at 8:30 am, and the race begins at 9:30 am. (If you are participating in the pre-race yoga session, please arrive for check-in at 8 am. See below for details.)
Free parking is available on site.
All runners must agree to waiver upon check-out.
Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferrable.
Due to the terrain, dogs, strollers, and headphones are not allowed on the course.
The race takes place rain or shine (excluding severely inclement weather). Yoga will be cancelled if there is rain.
PRE-RACE YOGA SESSION, 8:45–9:15 am
Warm up and stretch your muscles before the race at a light half-hour yoga session in the Sculpture Park. On the Mat Yoga Studio will lead a free yoga session for race participants only, ages 10 and up. Registration for yoga is included in the 5K registration form. Please arrive at 8 am to check-in for both the yoga and race. *Please bring your own yoga mat. The yoga session will be cancelled in the event of rain. (The race takes place rain or shine.)
Bring your own water bottle! Help us reduce the use of single-use plastic water bottles and single-use cups at the race’s finish.
Please bring your own, water-filled bottle to the race. Place your water bottle at the finish line ahead of time and it will be waiting for you when you finish. We will provide supplies for removable labels as needed, a water station to re-fill, and a limited supply of water for those without a water bottle. **Note: There will be one water station with single-use paper cups in the trail available**
Family coming along to cheer you on? Observers do not need to purchase 5K tickets. However, if they wish to explore the Park and Museum after the race, they will need to pay our normal admission fee on-site. Members, children 12 and under, and Lincoln residents get free admission!
